Chef: Alexia Monize

Total Time: 30 minutes

Level of Difficulty: Easy

Ingredients

  • Strawberries (number of your choice)

  • White chocolate (amount of your choice)

  • Dark or milk chocolate (amount of your choice)

Equipment

  • Microwave

  • Small bowls/mugs

  • Prong/skewer

Steps

  1. Wash strawberries.

  2. Break the chocolate into small pieces and melt in the small bowls/mugs, keeping the different types of chocolates in separate bowls.

  3. Microwave one of the bowls/mugs of chocolate for 20 seconds and then mix the warmed chocolate, making sure to press out any non-melted clumps.

  4. Repeat the warming and mixing with the other bowl/mug of chocolate.

  5. Drizzle some of the dark chocolate into the bowl of white chocolate (DON'T MIX)

  6. Place a strawberry on a prong/skewer. Then, dip and twirl the strawberry in the white chocolate bowl, pulling up and out as you twirl it in one direction.

  7. Drizzle more dark chocolate into the bowl of white chocolate and dip the next strawberry. Repeat process for each strawberry.

  8. Place the strawberries in the fridge or freezer until solidified.

Tips

  • When the white chocolate bowl gets too dark/mixed: Mix the chocolate until the colour is uniform. Dip the strawberry in the mixed chocolate. Warm more white chocolate in a bowl and then drizzle on top of the strawberries.

  • If you're in a rush: Cool the chocolate-covered strawberries in the freezer
