CREAMY BACON PASTA

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 onion

  • 6 slices bacon

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

  • 5/6 cup white wine

  • 1 cup grated parmesan

  • Ground sage

  • Ground pepper

  • Olive oil

  • Dried pasta

Equipment:

  • 2 large saucepans

  • Measuring cups

  • Cutting board

  • Knife

  • Strainer

  • Spatula

Steps:

Preparation:

  1. Chop 1/2 onion into small pieces

  2. Chop 6 slices of bacon to bite size

To cook pasta:

  1. Bring a saucepan with water to boil

  2. Add pasta and let it cook for 10 minutes

To make the sauce:

  1. While the pasta is cooking, add olive oil to a frying saucepan

  2. Add chopped onions and season them with ground sage

  3. Add chopped bacon

  4. Pour in 1/2 cup of heavy cream

  5. Season with ground pepper and ground sage

  6. Add 1 cup of grated parmesan

  7. Pour in 5/6 cup of white wine and stir well

  8. Let it simmer until thickened

To finish off the pasta:

  1. Once pasta is fully cooked, drain it and toss it gently into the sauce

  2. Add some pasta water to adjust the thickness to your liking

  3. Serve and enjoy!
